Strawberry season is officially over. Stay tuned for our Fall Festival!

Here are some helpful tips for picking, storing, handling, and using your strawberries!

• Always wash your strawberries before eating, hulling, or slicing them
• Pick all ripe strawberries - big and small. 
• Place strawberries out of the direct sunlight. 
•  Strawberries do not ripen after they have been picked
• Store your strawberries in a cool place in your house (the fridge)
• Strawberries can be frozen without sugar by placing in a single layer on a tray 
• Once frozen, they can be placed in freezer bags 
• 1 quart = 4 cups whole strawberries = 3 cups sliced = 2 cups pureed
